A richly inter grown specimen of Fluorite crystals with Galena, from the Blackdene Mine, Weardale. Crystals of Fluorite are seen to have over grown shell-like formation of Limestone. The crystals of Fluorite measuring to 0.5cm are lustrous and mostly gemmy, lots of interpenetrate twins with a purple colour. Bright silvery metallic crystals of Galena are abundantly scattered with the Fluorite, and show cubo-octahedral habit. A neat specimen from the mine.
