A tremendous specimen of Fluorite from the classic Fluorite area of Weardale in England. The Fluorite crystals to 2.4cm are lustrous and transparent with a lovely lilac-pink colour, also displaying several lilac colour band phantoms. The Fluorite is partly coated by sparkling glassy drusy crystals of Quartz, many of which are doubly terminated. Both minerals overgrow a plate of limestone, the under side of which has micro-crystals of Fluorite with minor yellow metallic Pyrite. A very attractive and historical specimen.
