Classic inter grown twinned crystals of Fluorite form a crest on the specimen from the Diana Vein, Allenheads Mine (Beaumont Mine), Northumberland (George Farr collection). Crystals of Fluorite measure to 1.4cm on edge, colourless-white to tinted purple. Brilliantly lustered crystals of black Sphalerite are clustered and scattered over the matrix, with inter grown areas of white Ankerite/Dolomite, and light tan coloured Siderite. All the preceding minerals have formed on a thin druse of sparkling grey-blue Quartz,on an matrix of altered Limestone. A cool specimen from the Diana Vein.
