A classic specimen of Galena from Blackdene Mine, formed of several cubo-octahedral crystals measuring to 5.5cm in width. The Galena has a silvery-metallic lustre and curved multistepped faces. Minor pale purple Fluorite is seen between the Galena, and several faces of the Galena crystals have greyish clay (?) inclusions around which the Galena has grown. Displays well, a real English classic.
