A classic specimen of a single Galena crystal from the Sweetwater Mine, USA, and displays to advantage atop the matrix. The Galena is an almost imperceptible complete inter growth of two crystals measuring to 3cm, and is a very bright metallic grey colour, with a slightly stepped appearance. The matrix is an altered light grey Limestone, with sparkling crystals of Dolomite, and metallic yellowish crystals of Chalcopyrite. From the Michael Cooper collection.
