Galena Crystals

ID: CC4507

The Tsumeb has never produced many Galena crystal specimens in the working life of the mine. The specimen we have from the Tsumeb is a group of Galena crystals measuring to 1.5cm displaying bright metallic grey to black faces. Much of the Galena is over grown by crystals of colourless-white Smithsonite, and some Cerussite. An area on the base of the specimen shows pearly luster probable Hydrocerussite.
