Excellent bright metallic grey Galena crystals on Fluorite from one of Weardale's last working mines (closed in 1987). The specimen was once in the Max D. Freier an avid North of England collector in the l970's-80's, before passing in to the David Green collection. Two well developed crystals of Galena measuring to 2.5cm, are cubic with octahedral modifications, and extensive offset growth. A translucent-gemmy purple/green Fluorite is the matrix for the Galena crystals. A classic Blackdene Mine Galena specimen.
