Two bright, highly reflective, metallic silver crystals of Galena sit in a bed of pale lilac cubic Fluorite crystals on a matrix of massive white, green and lilac Fluorite. The upper surface of Fluorite is lightly dusted with 1 to 2 mm crystals of brassy Chalcopyrite crystals. The Galena crystals measure approximately 3.0 x 3.0 x 3.0 cm and 4.5 x 3.0 x 2.0 cm and are composed of stepped sets of multiple growth Galena cubes. An excellent specimen from the Blackdene Mine at Ireshopeburn in Weardale, County Durham, England.
