Garnet Var Hessonite
ID: CC455
A sweet specimen with very gemmy and lustrous Grossular var Hessonite crystals coating both sides of a ridge of matrix. The reddish-orange crystals are sharply formed dodecahedrons with growth striations, and measure from 1 to 11mm in width. A nice example of the well known Jeffrey Mine Garnets.
