A smart specimen of lustrous gemmy wine coloured crystals of Grossular Garnet variety Hessonite from the Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Canada. Crystals of Grossular essentially occupy the central area of the specimen as two intergrown clusters and a single well-formed crystal measuring to 8mm, all crystals displaying characteristic growth patterns on their faces. A pleasing Garnet specimen on a dark grey druse of Mica.
