Hausmannite With Andradite

ID: CC592
Sparkling crystals of dark brownish black Hausmannite, with a partial blue iridescence, encrust the surface of the matrix. The crystals measure up to 2mm and are sharp tetragonal dipyramidal in form, often showing twinning. Tiny (<1mm) reddish orange Andradite Garnets can be seen between and beneath the Hausmannite, and 1mm wide booklets of pale brown Muscovite are also scattered between. Lots of fine detail in this specimen.
