Hemimorphite

ID: CC2083

A very fine specimen of Hemimorphite from the Sentein-Bentaillou area in the Midi-Pyrénées, France. This excellent specimen of Hemimorphite has a lovely bright robin's egg blue colour, and a satiny play of luster across the surface. The Hemimorphite has a low relief botryoidal surface composed of a myriad of intergrown micro-spherulites. The edge of the specimen exhibits pronounced fibrous structure, alternating between blue and white coloured bands of Hemimorphite. A terrific specimen of blue Hemimorphite from a rare French locality.
