Henmilite on Calcite
ID: CC739
Lustrous violet blue Henmilite crystals measure up to 5mm on this specimen - it is very rare to have such large crystals, normally they are less than 1mm in size. A light blue colouration within the Calcite and a fine coating is seen on some of the crystals. Unseen in the photographs (almost impossible to photograph) is a cavity that runs through the middle of this specimen which is studded with Henmilite crystals. The matrix is Calcite rich with mamilliary texture within cavities. A most interesting specimen.
