Hydrocerussite

ID: CC1005

A single lustrous crystal of Hydrocerussite from Merehead Quarry, Somerset, England. The crystal displays a tabular hexagonal form and measures to 3cm by 0.5cm thick. The colour varies from white to very slightly tinted green. Merehead Quarry is noted for occasionally producing these relatively large crystals of Hydrocerussite. Hydrocerussite crystals were not commonly found on matrix due to blasting and the collecting methods allowed in the quarry.
