A classic specimen of Leadhillite with Anglesite and Cerussite from the old Lead mining area of Leadhills, Scotland. The specimen displays the charituristic 'layered' formation of lead species from the area. The outer area of the specimen is composed of minor yellow Pyromorphite followed by Cerussite crystals mostly as twins, from colourless to black. The next formation is of well developed bladed Anglesite crystals measuring to over 1cm long in several cavities, from colourless to tinted yellow. The final mineral phase on this specimen is a relatively large tabular crystal of white Leadhillite. A classic Leadhills specimen
