The mine is really a series of open pits mined when the copper price is good, first stated mining in the mid-1950s. The Specimen we have is an elongated botryoidal dome shape measuring to 18cm. The top surface is richly sprinkled with inter grown crystals of green to black-green Libethenite measuring to 2mm on average. The under side of the specimen is concave in aspect, also with crystals of Libethenite, but to a larger size of 3mm. The crystals of Libethente have formed on a matrix of Pseudomalachite.
