Liroconite With Clinoclase

ID: CC3135

A classic specimen of Liroconite with Clinoclase from the cardinal location for the two rare copper arsenate species. Many of the specimens that came from what is probably Cornwall's most famous mine, were mined in the mid to late 18th Century. This specimen has the major display area lined with rich turquoise blue wedge shaped crystals of Liroconite to 0.6cm on edge. Deep blue crystal groups of lustrous Clinoclase are associated with the Liroconite. There are also several other Liroconite/Clinoclase crystal lined cavities on the specimen. A fine classic mineral specimen from the Cornish mine.
