Liskeardite With Scorodite

ID: CC4926

Liskeardite is a rare Aluminium Arsenate mineral. This specimen is from the type locality at Marke Valley Mine, Linkinhorne, Cornwall. Creamy to white Liskeardite richly invests the display area of the specimen, under magnification the Liskeardite cavities are lined with tiny crystals. A matrix of grey-green Chlorite with Quartz is spotted with Chalcopyrite and Pyrite. Marke Valley Mine now appears to be the only authenticated occurrence of Liskeardite in the UK.
