A classic specimen of Wheal Jane Ludlamite crystals, Cornwall's best location for the species. The specimen we have probably came out of the mine in the 1980s. Ludlamite crystals on the specimen show the characteristic gemmy to translucent wedge habit crystals with much parallel growth, and measuring to 0.7cm. The lustrous Ludlamite crystals are concentrated in two areas on the specimen is Quartz crystal veinstone vein by Pyrite. On the reverse of the specimen can be seen colourless micro-crystals of Fluorite with light green Chlorite and Arsenopyrite/Pyrite on a Quartz crystal druse.
