A fabulous specimen of stalactitic Malachite from the vast Shaba copper mining region Katanga, DR Congo. The Malachite forms tuberous seaweed like creations appearing to be waving in an unseen current. This is a particularly aesthetic specimen of stalactitic Malachite, the tubes rising from a botryoidal base. A glittering lustrous surface to the specimen gives additional ambiance to the Malachite. The edges show the Malachite to have annular growth bands, forming on a dark Quartz gossan matrix. An attractive specimen of Malachite from the location.
