A pleasingly beautiful specimen of Malachite from the Christiana Mine, Lavrion, Greece. The Malachite richly lines a cavity forming a druse of acicular intergrown radial crystals. On the reverse of the specimen are two further cavities also lined with crystals of Malachite. The Malachite is mostly a fine grass green colour with light shades of green. A brick red Goethite matrix is the host for the Malachite. The specimen is one which is depicted in the Lavrion Lapis Issue in 1999 on page 50.
