A classic Tsumeb Mine Malachite pseudomorph after Azurite from a location renowned for such archetypal specimens. The pseudomorphed Azurite crystals are pleasingly centered on the specimen showing well formed sharp bladed crystal habit measuring to 3cm. The replaced Azurite crystals are in shades of green varying from mostly rich green to light green, with great luster. The pseudomorphed crystals have retained some remnants of blue Azurite. The crystals are developed on a matrix of translucent Cerussite twinned crystals. The specimen also has micro-crystal areas of yellow green Duftite intergrown with micro-rhombic Dolomite crystals.
