This specimen consists of a bed of Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite, the largest and most predominant to 3cm tall, coated with colourless Calcite rhombs to 1cm and spherules of Azurite to 1mm. The other side of the specimen also has a coating of micro-crystalline Quartz. Attractively, the Calcite provides 'capping' to the sharp pseudo prisms and contrasts well against the green of the Malachite, and the addition of the Azurite spherules makes the specimen even more appealing. An interesting series of mineralisation and in undamaged condition.
