A fantastic specimen of Malachite after Azurite grown on reticulated Cerussite from the collectors mecca of the Tsumeb Mine, Namibia. The specimen depicts an excellently formed group of three Azurite crystals completely replaced by Malachite, with several other pseudomorphed crystals. The replaced Azurite crystals are bladed-tabular in form measuring to 1.8cm, with silky green colour. The Malachite pseudomorphs are seen to have grown on the Cerussite. The Cerussite is a double reticulated crystal formation facing each other at an angle of about 60 deg. Both crystal groups of Cerussite display excellent reticulation, measuring to 3.5 x 3.5cm. The Cerussite has a translucent slightly pink to creamy colour, with high lustre. A fascinating specimen from the Tsumeb Mine.
