Malachite and Azurite

ID: CC2365

A single large Azurite crystal has been almost completely pseudomorphed by Malachite. The Malachite forms light to dark green fibrous crystals intergrown in the form of the original Azurite crystal measuring nearly 6cm in height. Lustrous blue Azurite has remained as caps on the edges of the crystal, and in other small areas indicating the original crystal faces. The reverse of the crystal is encrusted with green Duftite. A magnificent pseudomorph!
