A well formed single octahedral crystal of Cuprite mounted on an obelisk shaped pedestal, from the classic French location of Chessy. The Cuprite crystal measures to 1.1cm on edge with a light green Malachite coating, and fair luster. A small triangular crystal extension can be seen on one of the octahedral faces. Chessy is famed for its Cuprites and Azurites, and this is superb little classic.
