Malachite Pseudomorph After Azurite

ID: CC4018

A classic Tsumeb Mine pseudomorph after Azurite, the major crystal measuring to 6cm. Replaced crystals of Azurite display the characteristic mottled satiny green colour of the radial areas of the Malachite. The crystals having developed on a druse of translucent pastel green 'Smithsonite' on a core of reddish Dolomite/Calcite. A great specimen of the pseudomorph.
