Two excellent crystals of Cuprite have been replaced by green Malachite on a gossan Goethite matrix, from the Hilarion Mine, Lavrion, Greece. The two replaced octahedral crystals of Cuprite measure to 0.6cm particularly large for the mine. A cavity on one edge of the specimen has several more replaced Cuprite crystals in clusters and singles. A comparatively rare specimen from the mine.
