A very rich specimen of Malachite with Cerussite from the famous Glucksrad Mine, Germany. The Malachite forms a sparkling variable green velvety mat, on a milky Quartz/Fe-Oxide matrix. Excellent white jack-straw crystals of Cerussite richly occupy an elongated cavity in the contrasting Malachite. The cavity measures 4.5 x 1cm, and follows around one side of the specimen. A 1.3cm long crystal of Cerussite appears to form a buttress spanning across the cavity. A smaller cavity at the back of the specimen (measuring 3cm by 0.7cm) also has a number of jack-straw Cerussite crystals. The velvety Malachite continues onto the underside of the specimen. A rich colourful display.
