MALACHITE

ID: CC6237

A rare specimen of thickly botryoidal extensively colour banded in shades of green Malachite, from the very old mining area in the Banat Mountains, Romania. A fine configuration of almost drip-stone Malachite with stalactitic overtones tube-like as hollow formations of volcano contoured forms. Inter-mixed over much of the remaining area of the specimen are acicular crystals of Malachite with grey-black Mn-oxides, and some pastel blue Chrysocolla.
