A very rare Manganoan Adamite from the Lavrion Mines, Lavrion, Greece. The Manganoan Adamite forms several crystal clusters measuring to 3 by 1.2cm, with excellent lustre, and a translucent pastel purple colour. Drusy crystals of colourless Calcite forms the matrix for the Manganoan Adamite, on a sandy coloured altered eroded marble. To our knowledge these rare specimens have never been located to an underground location in the mines.
