An old specimen of Mendipite from the Mendip Hills. The specimen comes with an old hand written label. We think that the specimen may came from Higher Pits, Priddy. The Mendipite is seen as a silky lustered translucent white fibrous parallel aggregate, with black-grey Mn-oxides, and an outer rind of creamy Cerussite and white Hydrocerussite. Classic specimen from the type locality area.
