A rich example of Mereheadite from the type locality of Merehead Quarry, Somerset, England. The Mereheadite forms a light orange dense mass with a fine luster, to 2.1cm by 1.4cm. The Mereheadite is surrounded by a thin band of creamy Hydrocerussite, which in turn is surrounded by translucent white Calcite and typical grey-black Mn oxides. There is a similar smaller area of Mereheadite on one side of the specimen. A fine example of the species from the Tony House collection.
