A fine example of Mereheadite from the type locality at Merehead Quarry, Somerset. England. The Mereheadite forms rich areas to 2.3cm in a white glassy Cerussite matrix. The Mereheadite varies in colour from reddish orange to yellow orange with a high luster. Both minerals have formed in a black Mn Oxide rimmed by a thin band of translucent to transparent Calcite.
