A specimen displaying two rich examples of Lead Oxychlorides from Merehead Quarry, Somerset, England. The Mereheadite forms a light tan elongated mass to 2.5cm in a white massive matrix of Hydrocerussite. Separated by a vein of Hydrocerussite is a similarly elongated area of pinkish Mendipite. All are contained in a Calcite rimmed cavity in grey-black Mn oxide matrix. A fine example of how the rare species have grown in a Mn oxide pod.
