Combination specimens of Mimetite and Smithsonite are not uncommon from Tsumeb, but this is a particularly interesting and aesthetic example. Light green lustrous Smithsonite forms translucent crystals to 0.3cm in length, scattered all over the white matrix. The lemon yellow Mimetite occurs as two groups - one with a transparent doubly terminated crystal to 0.4cm long with a smaller adjoining crystal; and the other group includes a chunky translucent hexagonal crystal with a modified termination standing proud of the matrix, measuring 0.7cm. Cute miniature display specimen!
