A stunningly rich small cabinet specimen of this rare Lead Gold Telluride. The specimen comes from the Sacarimb (Nagyág) type locality area in Romania. The Nagyagite is seen as highly lustrous metallic silvery platy crystals, with an interesting dendritic habit. The Nagyagite contrasts nicely with the light pink Rhodochrosite matrix. The Rhodochrosite has a number of small cavities lined with micro-crystals of this species. Other areas on the specimen also display platy crystals of Nagyagite. The specimen comes with an old label from the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences, ex. William Vaux Collection. A very rich example of Nagyagite and displays well on one edge.
