A rich specimen of Native Bismuth for the location of Native Bismuth in Chlorite, from the small Ivy Tor Mine. This shallow mine developed a vein/skarn deposit in metamorphic rocks on the northern fringe of the Dartmoor Granite, opened in the 1840s to work for copper. The specimen we have displays characteristic cleavages of bright metallic Native Bismuth measuring to 1.4cm, embedded in Arsenopyrite and Chlorite with minor Chalcopyrite.
