A bright metallic sheet of Native Copper from one of Cornwall's more unusual copper mines at Wheal Music. The mine was worked opencast to develop a stockwork deposit in the early 19th century. The deposit occurred in the form of ramified veinlets of copper ore that coursed through the slate country rock. The ore mined was mostly in the form of Cuprite with Native Copper. The specimen we have from this rare location displays a sheet of closely interlinked lace-like dendrites of Native Copper in a half moon configuration.
