Native Tellurium

A cavity in a Quartz rich matrix measuring 3cm x 2.6cm is abundantly lined with crystals of the rare mineral Tellurium, from the Fata Baii mining area in Romania. Crystals of Native Tellurium are richly inter grown with a number of undetermined metallic species. Several small Quartz cavities also have crystals of Native Tellurium. The specimen comes with two old labels.
