A quartz vein at some stage has held host to very enriched Olivenite crystallisation as displayed here. Thankfully the cavity was thick enough to allow for some very gemmy, elongate, prismatic and lustrous Olivenite to form. A very good quality Cornish Olivenite specimen of very well defined crystals sprouting from a 'Wood Copper' Olivenite base (upto 15mm thick). The internals of the cavity are in excellent condition - an excellent specimen. A really fine display quality cabinet sized Cornish Olivenite.
