A pleasing specimen of the rare mineral Parisite-(Ce) from the Mt. Malosa pegmatite area in Malawi. The intergrown crystals of Parisite-(Ce) display the classic tapering faces into a double termination, culminating in lustrous flat hexagonal-like faces. The group of Parisite crystals measure to 2.5cm. and have translucent tan to light brown banded colour due to oscillatory growth. The Parisites have formed close to the termination of a slender prismatic Aegerine crystal measuring to 4.5cm tall, with typical black lustrous colour. To complete the specimen is a well formed translucent white Microcline crystal measuring to 0.9cm, beautifully accompaning the Parisite. A lovely display.
