Parkinsonite is a very rare mineral from Merehead Quarry, Somerset, England. This is a rich example of the Lead, Molybdenum Oxychloride from the type locality. The Parkinsonite forms deep red micro masses mostly at one end of the pink Mendipite anhedral crystals. The Mendipite is partly encased in white Hydrocerussite. The Mendipite/Parkinsonite is also associated with yellow micro sections of Paralaurionite, deep olive green micro area of Chloroxiphite, with blue Diaboleite. A fine array of rare species from Merehead Quarry to study.
