An excellent small cabinet specimen of 'Tarnowitzite' - the Lead enriched variety of Aragonite. This specimen, from the classic location of the Tsumeb Mine, displays a bed of well formed prismatic crystals to 1cm. The lustrous crystals have translucent colourless prism faces capped by white pyramid faces. The Tarnowitzite has formed on a green band of mixed Malachite and Duftite, which in turn has formed on a thin shell of creamy botryoidal Dolomite, seen on the rear. The Dolomite has a sparkling surface composed of many intergrown micro-crystals. A pleasing specimen of 'Tarnowitzite' from a premier location.
