Prehnite With Calcite

Classic botryoidal Prehnite from the Scottish plateau lavas around the Glasgow area. The specimen we have is from the now closed Loanhead Quarry, Beith, Strathclyde. The Prehnite is a translucent light yellow, bounded on two edges by translucent white to colourless Calcite crystals and sections, on a grey matrix.
