A splendid miniature of blood-red, gemmy, dodecahedral Proustite micro-crystals to about 1 mm richly covering a narrow surface of micro-Calcite crystals and sooty-black Pyrolusite. From the Jáchymov District in Bohemia, Czech Republic. The Proustite crystals occur in two dense groups of 1.4 x 1.3 cm and 0.7 x 0.5 cm. The crystals are exquisite and although a very good miniature, show to full advantage under low magnification. A 3.0 x 1.5 cm area of massive metallic-maroon Proustite covers part of the reverse side.
