A very rich crystal specimen of the silver sulfosalt Pyrargyrite from the classic mining area of St. Andreasberg, Germany. The Pyrargyrite forms clusters to 3.2cm by 2.5cm of well developed crystals measuring individually to 0.8cm. The Pyrargyrite crystals have a bright metallic grey colouration, some displaying red internal reflections, typical of the species. The light coloured matrix is composed of crystalline Calcite with veinlets and spots of Pyrargyrite. The specimen has been attached to a black plinth to display to advantage. A superb specimen displaying fine crystal form of Pyrargyrite.
