Pyrite With Calcite

ID: CC42

A showy specimen with five aesthetically placed lustrous Calcite crystals on a backdrop of sparkling microcrystals of Pyrite. The Calcites measure to 1.5cm in width, are almost translucent, and resemble stacks of flattened rhombohedrons. The Pyrite has grown as tiny cubes <1mm wide, and preferentially coats one side of the specimen, completely coating the front half. The rear of the specimen is covered with fine Calcite crystals. Displays well.
