Pyromorphite

ID: CC1075

A fabulous Pyromorphite from one of the Caldbeck Fells', Cumbria, most famous mines. The specimen is richly invested with light green rounded crystals of Pyromorphite to 4mm in diameter. The Pyromorphite crystals have formed in a multi compartmented cavity on a slightly ferruginous white vuggy Quartz veinstone, very typical of the location. The reverse of the specimen has a druse of yellow Pyromorphite.  A great specimen from the now largely off limits for collecting location.
