A relatively uncommon specimen of Pyromorphite from Wheal Penrose at Porthleven. Bobbles and drusey areas of grass green Pyromorphite richly invest a thin white Quartz matrix. We seldom see specimens from the mines near to Porthleven, many of the lead mines are believed to be of at least Elizabethan age (1580s Society of Mines Royal).
